I forgot to take a picture of my shoes, but I was wearing just some black small ruffled flip flops. I will post a video on my channel of this entire look including the makeup, and also do another post on the makeup as well! So hope you like it and check out my channel to see the whole look!

Review: Ion Color Brilliance Permanent Hair Dye!

Okay so, I just dyed my hair again, I'll tell you what I used, my experience, etc.

I went to Sally's because I wanted a demi-permanent dye that was a little brighter than my natural color (the one I currently had) just so I could boost my color, not really change it. They didn't have any demi's that were the color I wanted but they had a color in the permanent line that matched my current haircolor so closely. I decided to get that color, the box was dusty, but I didn't think anything of it.

To make a long story short, the color did not come out as expected, and I think the box of dye was old because the color was way off from what it should have been, it was clumpy, and after I mixed it with the developer that it told me to, it was so thick that I couldnt even work it through my hair. But I made it work, left it on, rinsed and was disappointed. The color I got was Medium Copper Blonde. The color that I have, is more of a reddish brown. ick.

I have used copper blonde colors before and they all came out more orangy and what not, this color came out brown-ish. There isn't a HUGE difference in my hair color but it wasnt what I wanted. Its not to say that all Sally's Ion permanent dyes are old and turn out this way, but definitely be cautious and ask about the last shipment that came in! geez! theres no way that if it had been new the color would have came out like this, not with the color swatch I was looking at.

So here is a before and after picture. I wont be getting this dye again, Im afraid to go to Sally's now haha especially ours since it doesnt get a lot of business. But I will probably either keep this hair color since I kind of like it, and just use a different dye, or use something bright next time. Im not sure.

June Favorites 2011

Hey everyone! Sorry I've been gone for so long!! but I'm back to share with you my favorites for the month of June!! :)

Okay so first I will tell you my favorites for the month, then lightly explain them! Also, I posted a favorites video for all of these on my youtube channel, so go check that out if you want to see more, like a small review on the Loreal Infallible lip products! I'll be doing a whole review on them soon so watch out for that!

Anyway, here are my faves:
-Revlon Just Bitten lip stains: Gothic (red), Desire (light pink), Passion (hot pink). Reason why I love these so much is because they don't budge! They go on evenly, they have the balm on the ends to moisturize your lips, and the pink ones give your lips a nice natural flush of color, yet the red one gives you nice bright true opaque red if you want it, which is amazing!
-NYC 16 Hour Smooch Proof Lip Stain: rock on ruby. I LOVE THIS TOO! This one is around $4 compared to the Revlon at $8 or $9, depending, but it works great! go get one! :)
-NYC Blush Creme Stick: Big Apple Blush. This is great under powder blush to enhance the color!
-Revlon Colorstay Foundation: buff. Amazing! excellent coverage, VERY long-lasting. amaze-balls!
-Loreal Infallible Lipgloss: 315 Rebel Red. The only one out of the Infallible line that I like! It transfers only a tiny smidge, and you just have to try it out to believe me! ;)
-Revlon Extra Life No Chip Top Coat: this has made such a difference in the life of my manicure! It's like it gives me nail polish CPR, so it doesnt die on me after only 2 days! :D
-Nutra Nail Touch of Color Strengthener with Green Tea Antioxidants: love! It's made my nails grow significantly and has kept them from chipping as easily as they were before. they actually haven't chipped at all when I wear 2 coats of this! :)
-EOS Lip Balm: summer fruit. Didn't like this stuff at first, but I do now! it's coooooooool.
-NYX Nude on Nude palette. Great colors! I've been using it almost every day! love the pigmentation, and it's a great palette to have!

If you want more specifics, go check out my video! :)

OOTD: 6/3/2011

So, here is my outfit of the day! And I'd have to say this is probably one of my favorite outfits for summer, and in general because of the top. It's just thrown together and effortless. I didn't put much thought into it, and it's super comfy! Can't wait to wear this cropped sweater during other months of the year! :)

and please excuse the Wendy's cup in some of my pics. haha (no video on this look today, sorry :/ )

Review: bhcosmetics round stippling brush, elf stippling brush. elf eyelid primer

Hey! So, here is my review on the bhcosmetics round stippling brush compared to the elf stippling brush, and my thoughts on the $1 elf eyelid primer and their entire website in general. Video posted on my YouTube channel, check it out :)

Okay so....The bhcosmetics stipple brush I do not like and don't recommend purchasing! This isn't to say that all of bhcosmetics products or brushes suck, this is just merely my opinion, my thoughts and my experience with this product. The brush is very small in diameter, which makes it more difficult for me at least, to blend foundation all over my face. It's also very stiff and dense, and dense can be nice but this particular brush doesn't have any give to it when I apply foundation, so it kind of jabs my face and the hairs poke me because they aren't the softest.

Now, my favorite foundation brush to use is the elf Stipple brush which is why I purchased the bhcosmetics brush because I thought that it might be another good stippling brush. On the website, the bhcosmetics stippling brush looked a lot larger which is why I purchased, even though it's not dual fibered like the elf stipple brush is, I thought I would give it a shot anyway. Needless to say, I won't be re-purchasing the bhcosmetics brush, but I do plan on purchasing other products from them because I am interested to see what else they have to offer.

Now onto the elf eyelid primer and the website in its entirety. The first $1 eyelid primer I purchased from eyeslipsface.com was amazing, it was the perfect dupe for the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion, so I purchased a second one and it wasn't at all the same. The first one was more of a mousse/liquid texture and the second one was just all liquid. It didn't dry well and my eye makeup was fading within 2 hours after applying. However, the first tube of it worked wonders and my makeup lasted all day, which brings me to the point of the elf website and company in general. I love their products, I really do. They are good quality and amazingly priced, but their products aren't consistent. I find that I will order a product from them, love it, go and re-purchase the same product, but it will be entirely different in the formulation or the make of the product, which again SUCKS. I don't know why this is, but I wish they would be consistent with their products because they are losing out when it comes to business.

Just like the elf Stipple brushes that I mentioned, I bought one and loved it and decided to buy a second one. My second one is less dense than the first, it sheds whereas my first one doesn't at all, and it's more flimsy. So I guess you just kind of either luck in or luck out when it comes to purchasing from them, but that's truly my only complaint, I still love them bunches :)

Anyway! Check out my YouTube channel for a video and I'll post again soon!
