Review: bhcosmetics round stippling brush, elf stippling brush. elf eyelid primer

Hey! So, here is my review on the bhcosmetics round stippling brush compared to the elf stippling brush, and my thoughts on the $1 elf eyelid primer and their entire website in general. Video posted on my YouTube channel, check it out :)

Okay so....The bhcosmetics stipple brush I do not like and don't recommend purchasing! This isn't to say that all of bhcosmetics products or brushes suck, this is just merely my opinion, my thoughts and my experience with this product. The brush is very small in diameter, which makes it more difficult for me at least, to blend foundation all over my face. It's also very stiff and dense, and dense can be nice but this particular brush doesn't have any give to it when I apply foundation, so it kind of jabs my face and the hairs poke me because they aren't the softest.

Now, my favorite foundation brush to use is the elf Stipple brush which is why I purchased the bhcosmetics brush because I thought that it might be another good stippling brush. On the website, the bhcosmetics stippling brush looked a lot larger which is why I purchased, even though it's not dual fibered like the elf stipple brush is, I thought I would give it a shot anyway. Needless to say, I won't be re-purchasing the bhcosmetics brush, but I do plan on purchasing other products from them because I am interested to see what else they have to offer.

Now onto the elf eyelid primer and the website in its entirety. The first $1 eyelid primer I purchased from eyeslipsface.com was amazing, it was the perfect dupe for the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion, so I purchased a second one and it wasn't at all the same. The first one was more of a mousse/liquid texture and the second one was just all liquid. It didn't dry well and my eye makeup was fading within 2 hours after applying. However, the first tube of it worked wonders and my makeup lasted all day, which brings me to the point of the elf website and company in general. I love their products, I really do. They are good quality and amazingly priced, but their products aren't consistent. I find that I will order a product from them, love it, go and re-purchase the same product, but it will be entirely different in the formulation or the make of the product, which again SUCKS. I don't know why this is, but I wish they would be consistent with their products because they are losing out when it comes to business.

Just like the elf Stipple brushes that I mentioned, I bought one and loved it and decided to buy a second one. My second one is less dense than the first, it sheds whereas my first one doesn't at all, and it's more flimsy. So I guess you just kind of either luck in or luck out when it comes to purchasing from them, but that's truly my only complaint, I still love them bunches :)

Anyway! Check out my YouTube channel for a video and I'll post again soon!

How I Dye my Hair Bright Red! :)

Okay so...

I just dyed my hair a bright red with a new dye, not the Nutrisse one I talked about previously...

I love the result! it's super bright, yet wearable, and I think that it exaggerates my pale skin but in a good way, I look like an exotic mermaid or something. haha

Anyway, these are the products I used and how I achieved this hair color.

Products: (purchased at Sally's Beauty Supply)
-Ion Color Brilliance Demi-Permanent Creme Hair Color: 6RV Light Burgundy Blonde
-Salon Care 10 Vol. Creme Developer
-Mixing Bowl & hair color brush
-plastic latex gloves
-hair clips
-mirror
-and of course my hair....
Now keep in mind, I did not bleach before using this color because my hair was already light. Refer to previous photos in earlier posts: it was a light red with some subtle blonde highlights so I did not have to bleach. If you have darker hair you may have to do so.

 What I did:
First I brushed out my hair and got rid of tangles (did not wash before hand) I mixed the color and the dye according to the directions, I did a 1-1 ratio...2 oz of color and 2 oz. of developer. Then I clipped back sections of my hair and started at the back, and worked my way through while wearing gloves. I made sure to cover my roots thoroughly, but I think next time I will get 2 boxes since I barely had just enough to cover my entire head. I had to make the mixture stretch and I think that is because my hair is so thick even though it's short. So if you have long hair I would recommend 2 boxes.

Here are some pictures of how it turned out! If you want to see the actual process and what not, (not of me dying but of me talking about it) then check out my Youtube channel video! :)
