♡Influenster Maybelline the Colossal Big Shot VoxBox Review♡

Hi loves!

I'm back with a quick review on a complimentary box I received from Influenster for testing purposes! The Maybelline Big Shot Colossal box that came with the Big Shot Colossal Volume Express mascara as well as the Master Precise Curvy Liquid Eyeliner!

I have tried out both and so far I am enjoying them! The mascara builds great volume in just a few coats and is also really black. I have always loved Maybelline mascaras so this is no surprise to me! I also tried out the liquid liner and did quite an intense wing, which is my go-to look. I do like the liner, it is really black and bold, although the applicator wand is a bit large so it takes more work to apply it.

Overall I would say that the mascara is worth trying out for sure, and the liner is okay and worth a shot if you like a thick wing or liner across your lash line. Definitely not for those who want a precise wing though, it does take some work to apply!

Thanks for taking the time to read my review, I hope it helped! and thank you to Influenster for letting me test out these makeup goodies! <3

♡How to Revive Curly Synthetic Wigs♡

Hi loves!

Recently I've been wearing wigs, all synthetic and mostly half wigs. Besides the styles, synthetic wigs, especially curly ones tend to be a bit dry and can tangle easily if you don't use the right products on them.

One of mine that I love was pretty beat up from playing around with it one night. I hadn't washed it yet but knew I needed to so I could add some moisture to it before wearing it. In the past I wore a full wig that was curly and tried many products but didn't find anything that I loved.

Since I already had my My Fantasy Hair shampoo & conditioner on hand from having my extensions, I decided to try it on my synthetic hair, although it's made for human hair extensions. The outcome? I absolutely will not use another product on my synthetic hair!!!

If you're interested in the MFH hair care line, you can use code "samantha" for a discount!

Yes, I of course promote MFH, but I'm telling you their conditioner especially is a MIRACLE worker on synthetic curly hair!!!

Here is a before and after of my synthetic curly half wig after shampooing and conditioning with my MFH hair products:

All I did with this hair was shampoo, condition (leaving the conditioner on about a half hour before rinsing), then letting it air dry while combing through with my fingers, and VOILA! Nice, soft, amazing smelling and tangle free curly hair!

To keep up with maintaining the hair, after every wear I use a "leave in conditioner mix" I created  with the MFH conditioner and water in a spray bottle! I just spritz the hair enough to make it damp and run my fingers through it. It helps separate the curls and prevents the hair from tangling up throughout my next wear. :)

I hope this helped out in finding a solution that's super easy to maintain curly synthetic hair! I even use the leave in spray on my straighter synthetic hair and it also helps to moisturize and detangle!

If you have any comments or questions leave them below, and I hope you enjoyed!

♡My Fantasy Hair Review 2015♡

Hi loves!

I wanted to come on here and write an updated review of all of my My Fantasy Hair extension sets! I wrote a review a couple years ago and I will have that linked here so you can check it out:
http://samyrae7.blogspot.com/2013/09/my-fantasy-hair-review.html

For me, everything I posted in that review still stands true to this day, but I wanted to give some updates on some older sets that I have, how my older sets have held up, some experiences I have had and so on!

You may or may not know, that I am now a promoter for MFH, however, have been purchasing from this company from I think 2012. I have tried so many other brands between then and now and have just been underwhelmed or just completely disappointed in other brands quality! I always go back to My Fantasy Hair!

So let's talk quality first:
-I cannot get over the quality of this hair! Sets that I have had since 2013 or even before, are still holding strong! Clips are still working great, no loose threads or falling apart wefts, and the hair is still in great condition! I do take VERY good care of my extensions so they do last me a long time! Some of my older sets I have cut but that's what makes these great! Once a set is at the end of its life, or isn't as manageable years after you first got them you can either cut them into a shorter style, or use them for up-dos and styles!
-All of my sets aside from one have either come in the color "jet black" or have been dyed black. They have taken the color very well and even my older sets have not had to be re-dyed from their first coloring, even after many washes.
-The hair is very soft when you first get it but remains soft as well! I find that it does plump up and get thicker when you wash it right out of the pack, which I always do. Most extensions come with a coating on the hair that makes them really smooth and straight; I like washing the hair before wearing it because it gives it more texture, a slight wave and it matches my hair better as well as making it into its full thickness.
-I love using the MFH hair care line on my extensions which you can find here:
http://www.myfantasyhair.com/product-category/hair-care/
-The hair also doesn't get matted, from my experience and that is with everyday wear. Now, because it is thick it will still tangle; tangling comes from having thick long hair, but I just keep a small brush in my handbag and don't have any issues with major tangling. I like my hair smooth though so I give it a brush maybe once while I'm out all day.

Here are some photos of some of my sets and how I wear them:

9pc  18inch Colossal Set in "jet black" custom cut (my newest set)

Older set of 14 inch "butterscotch" dyed black

And one of my oldest sets that I cut to thicken up my hair at its current length!

Next onto customer service:
-I can't express enough my LOVE for the MFH team and their customer service!!! I just love how quick they are in replying via email anytime I have a question or concern! I give them a double thumbs up, 5 stars, 100% : all of the above in their customer care! They respond right away, answer any questions, give tips and advice, and really help you out when you need it and I love that about the MFH team!

Options of hair:
-I'm not going to go through all of the options that MFH has now, but compared to 3 years ago they have SO MANY OPTIONS! They have an assorted number of lengths, thicknesses, colors and you even get to choose the ends of your hair now! This is a feature I really appreciate now compared to the first set I ever purchased. I love the "natural ends" selection compared to the "straight ends" which are a blunt cut. The natural ends just really eliminate me from having to texturize the ends of the hair myself, so it's a big plus in my book.
-The color selection is amazing and for me the "jet black", which is one I always go back to, is the blackest of black! I have also tried the "butterscotch" and "strawberry blonde" both of which were still the same quality and both of them held dye really well.

Price Point:
-For the amount of hair you get (in grams), and the options of hair you can choose I feel that for the QUALITY of hair you get the prices are fair! There are other brands that charge the same amount if not more for hair, and they either aren't as thick or the quality is below amazing.

I do have a discount code to share for 5% off your order: "samantha"
The code can be used on anything on the site!

Final Thoughts:
-I am so happy to be a part of the MFH team now and I am so glad I made my first purchase years ago! My love for hair extensions is immense, but these hair extensions are ones that I will remain loyal to because it is not only a brand I trust, but one that I know will never lack in quality ever!
-Three or more years later and I am still in love with every set I have ever gotten! This is by far the best extension brand I have ever tried, and that is my honest opinion. The quality has me so hooked that I'm not sure I will ever try any other extensions!

I hope this updated review was helpful to you! I know that sometimes with reviews, a person can be ecstatic about the hair when it is first purchased but you don't know what happens after that. Given my timeline I hope that with years of experience with this hair you have a better idea of how great it is and won't hesitate to purchase if you were thinking about it. I absolutely love this hair and stand by it 100%!

I hope if you try it out you love it too!

If you have any comments or questions feel free to leave me one or email me at:
samyrae7@yahoo.com
and I will be more than happy to get back with you!

Thanks for reading loves!

♡Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Mascara Review♡ Influenster Voxbox♡

Hi loves!

I'm back with a review! I received the Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir mascara complimentary from Influenster to try and test out. I wanted to try it right away because it is a volumizing mascara that claims to have a velvet finish, and the brush and formula seemed really nice as well.

Here are a couple photos of me wearing the mascara :

This mascara definitely gives me volume and some length as well! I didn't experience any flaking with this mascara, but it does get a little clumpy if you're not careful. It seems to have little fibers in the formula which help build volume, but they didn't seem to cause issues with flaking like I said. The only con I found was in the pictures you can see that my lashes aren't super curled. When I first applied the mascara they were holding a curl well, but this was about 2 hours after wear and my curl was falling. It still maintained some curve, but not as much as I like usually, which I get from a waterproof formula.

Overall I love this mascara! It builds up super quick so if you're in a hurry to get your makeup done, this is a great go-to mascara! I think it builds enough that I can wear it on natural makeup days, because it gives enough lash to my look.

4 out of 5 stars for me! Price is a bit high for mascara in which I can find similar at the drugstore that give me the same volume, but the mascara is amazing. Pricey, and doesn't hold the greatest curl for me, but the volume, length and drama I get outweigh those and I would purchase it! Love it and would recommend!

♡Loreal Feria Power Copper Review | Before & After♡

Hi loves!

I recently dyed my red hair (natural color, but dyed to my "natural" from black), to a brighter red. I wanted a more orange-based red rather than a red-red, so I decided on the Loreal Feria Power Copper C74.

I made sure to take several after pics with and without flash and in different lighting so you can see the color it pulls. I initially wanted to use henna on my hair but haven't fully decided whether I want to or not. This gave me a bright color and I am overall impressed with it, but we will see how long it lasts. I did get a semi-permanent dye from Ion (the Ion Color Brilliance Neon Brights in Blood Orange) to mix with conditioner to use as a "color deposit" for when it starts to fade. My hair has been previously bleached, so it doesn't want to hold onto color all that well, so I figured a semi-permanent for touch-ups might help!

Here are the before and afters of my hair. The "natural" color was a medium auburn that had faded over about 2 months, which is basically my natural grow in color, just for reference. Keep in mind all monitors are different as well. No filters were used on these, just camera flash and without flash.

BEFORE

AFTER

I hope this helps you out! I will post again on my final thoughts, how I maintain the color and so on! Let me know if you have any questions!
